The total export cargo of 23,237 tonnes comprised of 23,237 tonnes of containerised cargo. As many as 6,086 containers comprising of 3,196 containers import and 2,890 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Thursday. The breakup of imported containers shows 1,848 of 20's and 1,337 of 40's loaded while nil of 20's and 13 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 663 of 20's and 88 of 40's loaded containers while 1,216 of 20's and 709 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There were six ships carrying containers, oil tankers, coal and general cargo respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. There were nine vessels carrying containers, oil tankers and general cargo respectively currently at the berths.
The total import cargo of 117,594 tonnes includes 14,120 tonnes of diesel oil; 20,300 tonnes of palm oil; 45,000 tonnes of LNG; 759 tonnes of LPG; 1,497 tonnes of general cargo; 6,192 tonnes of soyabean; 3,500 tonnes of coal and 26,676 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 38,000 tonnes includes 38,000 tonnes of containerised cargo. As many as 3,404 containers comprising of 1,404 containers import and 2,000 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Friday.
There were three ships namely MV Tian Fu, MV Orion Ocean and MT Tomson Gas carrying general cargo, coal and LPG respectively sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while two more ships namely CV MSC Savannah and CV Suez Canal carrying containers are expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total number of ten vessels viz. CV MSC Savannah, CV Suez Canal, MV Tian Fu, MV Orion Ocean, MV Dione, MT Tomson Gas, MT Methane Heater, MT Silver Philipa, MT Chemroad Journey and MT Chemroad Mega currently occupied berths to load/offload containers, general cargo, coal, soyabean, LPG, LNG, diesel oil and palm oil respectively during the last 24 hours.
As many as fourteen ships namely CV CNNI Arauco, MV RB Eden, MV Good Hope Max, MV MR Arcturus, MV Rui Ning-2, MV Ali Kip, MT Globe Tanya, MT Bneinder, MT Zem Gale, MT Spruce-2, MT Ginga Lion, MT Bunga Allium, MT CTG Argon and MT Maritime Yuan carrying containers, soyabean, condensate oil, coal, LPG, diesel oil and palm oil respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
There were four vessels viz. CV CNNI Arauco, CV Hugo Schulte, MV Ali Kip and MT Globe Tanya carrying containers, coal and LPG respectively expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Iron Ore & Coal Berth and SSGC LPG Terminal respectively on Friday.
There were five ships namely CV Hugo Schulte, CV Express Black Sea, MV Frauke, MV Industrial Swift and MV Gas Chem Antartic carrying containers, project cargo and chemical respectively due to arrive on Friday. There are three ships namely CV Hermes, CV Fortune and MT Al-Salam-II carrying containers and diesel oil respectively due to arrive on Saturday.
